AddHash 2.0
===========

AddHash joins two or more hashset files to a new hashset file. EnCase and X-Ways
Forensics (MD5 plain text) hashsets are supported.


Supported Input Formats:
------------------------

	EnCase v1
		This format is required by EnCase v3.
		Newer versions of EnCase support this format too.
		It doesn't support unicode characters in the name and category.
	 
	EnCase v2
		This format is supported by EnCase v4 and higher.
		The name and category field support unicode characters.

	X-Ways Forensics plain text
		This format is used by X-Ways Forensics to import and export hashsets.
		In this file is no name/category saved, so these fields can not be changed.
		The count of hash values can't be displayed in the hashset list.

USAGE
=====

Join Hashsets
-------------

1. Add all hashset files you want to join per Drag & Drop to the files list.
   This can be done with the menu item "Add files" or the toolbar button too.

2. Enter the hashset name and category for the new hashset under "New hashset
   properties".
   
3. Select the file type for the new hashset.

4. Click the "Export all..." or "Export selected..." button to generate a new
   hashset and store it in a new file. Duplicate hash values will be ignored
   automatically.



Modify Hashset Name and Category
--------------------------------

To edit the name of the currently selected hashset, select "Edit" > "Edit name
and category". If you select more than one hashset, the name field is disbled in
the edit dialog.

The category can be changed for more than one hashset. Select the hashsets you
want to change the category for and select "Edit" > "Edit name and category".

The changes you made will not be stored automatically to the original hashset
files. You have to save the informations with the menu items "File" > "Save
selected files" or "Save all files".

Note that a changed hashset file have an other icon in the hashset list.
