1. Overview

XPS to PDF Command Line is a powerful pdf tool for creating or manipulating Adobe Acrobat PDF format files and multifarious raster image format files. It does not need the third part software support such as GDI, nor via a PDF printer driver, converting Microsoft XPS file(s) to searchable PDF file(s) quickly, the output PDF file(s) are fully searchable in Acrobat and can be indexed in Acrobat Catalog, and industry standard PDF (Portable Document Format) documents can be viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat range of products, distribute your print files around the Internet or your company Intranet for easy viewing, searching and printing.
XPS to PDF Command Line supports the fast, affordable way to create professional-quality Adobe Acrobat PDF format documents by batch mode. Its easy-to-use interface allows you to create PDF files by simply click the "convert" button, and it offers convenient features to optimize and manipulate PDF files in ways that most other packages do not. 3. Installation&Uninstallation

Installation: You can download the programe setup file which is a zip file from our site at first, then you only need to decompress setup file. After above working, you can use the program.

Uninstallation: All you need to do for uninstallation is to delete the direcotry which place the program files.

4. System Requirement

Supported Operating Systems

The following operating systems listed have been tested with XPS to PDF Command Line and are officially supported.

Recommended Hardware

(1) CPU: Intel(or Standard PC) 800MHz or faster compatible x86 processor;

(2) RAM: 256MB or more RAM recommended, 128MB minimum;

(3) Hard-disk: 100MB free space recommended, 50MB free space required;

5. Command Parameters

Usage:

xpstopdf.exe	<-i <string> [...]> [-o <string>] [-x <int>] [-y <int>] [-s <string>] [-t <string>] [-a <string>] [-k <string>] [-c <string>] [-u <string>] [-w <string>] [-p <int>] [-l <int>] [-q <int>] [-d <int>] [-e <int>] [-g <string>] [-m] [-r <string>] [-h]
	Notes: <>--- required []--- optional

(1). Input and Output settings

-i <string>	Input source xps files or directory which contains xps files you want to convert. This parameter can appear several times, such as: e.g.1) xpstopdf -i "c:\my1.xps" -i "c:\my2.xps" -i "c:\my_xps\" -o "d:\my_pdf\" Extract xps files which are "c:\my1.xps","c:\my2.xps" and all xps files placed in "c:\my_xps\" to "d:\my_pdf\".
-o <string>	Set destination directory to output pdf files, default is in the same directory as source files.

(2). PDF/Page settings

-x <int>

Set the horizontal resolution of the pdf, the resolution from 72 to 600, default is 100.

-y <int>

Set the vertical resolution of the pdf, the resolution from 72 to 600, default is 100.

-s <string>

Set subject information.

-t <string>

Set title information.

-a <string>

Set author information.

-k <string>

Set keywords information.

-c <string>

Set creator information.

-u <string>

Set Permissions password.

-w <string>

Set Document Open Password.

-p <string>

Set set permission..

Value	Description
0	all disallowed
1	permit print.
2	permit copy.
3	permit print and copy.
4	permit modify.
5	permit print and modify.
6	permit copy and modify.
7	permit print copy and modify.

-l <string>

Set encryption, has two level 40 and 128 bit

-q <int>

Set the JPEG compression quality(1-100), default is 75.

-d <int>

Set the color depth of an image.default is 24.

Value	Description
1	black/white image.
4	16 colors image.
7	256 grayscale image.
8	256 colors image.
24	true color image.

-e <int>

Set the tiff compression mode. The program supports the following mode.default is 5 (Lzw compression).

1	No compression(1-bit, 4-bits, 8-bits grayscal, 8-bits, 24-bits)
2	Rle compression(1-bit)
3	CCITT Group 3 compression(1-bit)
4	CCITT Group 4 compression(1-bit)
5	Lzw compression(1-bit, 4-bits, 8-bits grayscal, 8-bits, 24-bits)
6	Jpeg compression(8-bits grayscale, 24-bits)
7	Packbits compression(4-bits, 8-bits grayscal, 8-bits, 24-bits)

e.g.1) xpstopdf -i "c:\my1.xps" -o "d:\my_xps\" -g "tif" -d 8 -e 7
Extract all layouts of "c:\my1.xps" to "d:\my_xps\", it is to output 256 colors tiff files which compression mode is Packbits.

-g <string>

File type's definitions, supports the following image type, default is tiff format.

tif	The file is tiff format
jpg	The file is jpeg format
bmp	The file is bmp format
gif	The file is gif format
pcx	The file is pcx format
png	The file is png format
emf	The file is emf format
wmf	The file is wmf format

e.g.1) xpstopdf -i "c:\my_xps\" -o "d:\my_xps\" -g "bmp" -d 7
Extract all xps files placed in "c:\my_xps\" to "d:\my_xps\", it is to output 256 grayscale image files.

-m

If you set, it convert all layouts of one xps file to one multi-page tiff. If not set default is single-page tiff.
e.g.1) xpstopdf -i "c:\my_xps\" -o "d:\my_xps\" -g "tif" -m
Extract all xps files which placed in "c:\my_xps\" to "d:\my_xps\", it is to output multi-page tiff file.

(4). Other settings

-r <string>	It is to register program.
-h	It is to open the help file.
