Overview

- What is Auto ShutDown?
Just like a television set has a sleep function, always wondered whether a computer had one too?
Although the Scheduled Tasks function in XP allows you to schedule a program to run at a specific time, it doesn't allow you to schedule the computer for a complete system Shut Down.
This is where Auto ShutDown comes into use.
With this tool, you can easily schedule a complete system shut down by specifying the time.
As simple as that.

- Features
Runs silently as a tray icon.

- Install & Uninstall
To install Auto ShutDown simply extract all the contents of the ZIP file to a folder.
To uninstall Auto ShutDown, manually delete the whole directory.

- How do I use it?
1. Execute the program.
2. Select a timeslot from the selection.
3. Click on the "Schedule ShutDown" button or from the File Menu and the status bar shows your selected timeslot.
4. Likewise you can change the timeslot or cancel the scheduled Shut Down by clicking on Cancel or from the File Menu.
5. Press escape key or "Close" from the File Menu and the program minimizes to the tray.
6. To exit select "Exit" from the File Menu or right-click and then Exit if minimized in the system tray.

- Main Window

Menu
  File - Schedule ShutDown (Ctrl+S)
    Schedules system ShutDown according to the timeslot specified.

  File - Cancel (Ctrl+C)
    Cancels the scheduled system Shut Down.

  File - Close (Ctrl+L)
    Minimizes the program to the system tray.

  File - Exit (Ctrl+X)
    Exits Auto ShutDown.

  Help - Help Topics... (F1)
    Opens up this document.

  Help - About Auto ShutDown... (Ctrl+A)
    Brings up the Auto ShutDown splash screen.

Window
  Please select time for ShutDown
    Select from a list of timeslots and select one.
    Note that the timing is in 24-hour format.

  Schedule ShutDown
    Schedules system ShutDown according to the timeslot specified.

  Cancel
    Cancels the scheduled system Shut Down.
