BazSyslog version 1.0

BazSyslog has been designed to capture syslogs from netscreen devices.
It allows you to store up to 2GB of Logs in an access database and then 
retrieve reports from that database based on specific criteria.

Setup
-----

1. Install bazsyslog on the host which you want to recieve the syslog messages

2. Config netscreen device.
	- enable Syslog messages
	- Add host to send syslogs to. Transport must be set to UDP
	- Default port to send syslogs to host is port 514

3. Config netscreen device security policies.
	For each firewall policy rule that you want to log information for you need to 
	enable logging and counting.

4. Config Bazsyslog
	Remote Host IP - set to the internal IP address of the netscreen device
	Remote Host Port - set to netscreen device host port - default 2350
	Local Host Port - set to the port you have setup netscreen device to send to. default 514.

5. Click Start Capture
	if its working you should see messages starting to appear

Reports
-------

To get reports simply got to the reports tap select a report from the drop down list
and enter any filters that you want to apply for the report.
* can be used for wild card.

Notes
------
Please note the maximum size of the database is 2GB
When this limit is reached the logging will stop
