** Introduction **

Welcome to the BizzarServer ver 2!

This is the second version of the first wamp server (Windows Apache MySQL PHP).

This server software was built using the awesome open source packages by Apache, PHP, and MySQL. I did not include Perl/CGI support because that would have made the install larger and I don't use it. If you want it, it's pretty easy to install, but I just don't support it. This server is intended for non-technical person working from home that just wants to set up a quick and easy web server.

This server software is intended for Windows XP. I created it on a Windows XP system with Service Pack 2 to make sure that it would work, but I'm pretty sure it will run on any Windows XP system, 2000 system, or 2003 system.

** Installation **

Just run BizzarServer2.exe and follow the prompts.

That's it! I made this install so easy to the point where I forced a certain installation path and then created the configuration files accordingly. There is nothing to configure! Once you finish installing the software, there is a welcome page to get you started.

** File Locations and Settings **

Webpages go into C:\BizzarServer\Apache2\htdocs

Apache config file is in C:\BizzarServer\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf

PHP config file is in C:\BizzarServer\PHP\php.ini

In the htdocs folder, you will find the phpinfo.php page. This page will give you all the php-based information about your server. There is also a phpmyadmin folder. In that folder is the web based administration tool for the mysql server. Use that to change the root password and set up all your databases. Great tool!

The default credentials for mysql has username: root, password: password.

** Support **

There is limited support for this product. I only support the standard, default install location and some minor apache/php/mysql based questions. For advanced configurations and installations, you will have to Google for it and do some reading. Trust me, that's how I learned. This is just to get you started with an easy to work with server that takes some guess work out of setting this stuff up.

This package will not be the best for everyone. This is for the people who are starting out. As you get better and host more websites, you should really go with some paid hosting solutions. These solutions will give you more features and options that what you can do at home. They are more secure and usually come with email and whatnot.

For some basic support, I'm available via the forum at my site at http://www.bizzarscripts.com and I check the forum pretty often during the day. You can email me, but I usually do not answer support questions from my email.

Good luck with the server!
