- Please uninstall any previous installation of ChessToGo for Palm before installing this version. To completely uninstall any existing version, please follow these steps:
- Remove the following files:
- ChessToGo.prc
- ChessToGoDB.pdb
- Soft-reset your device.
- If you are having problems registering your installation, please make sure you had provided us the correct HotSync name of your device. To be sure, please follow these steps to verify the HotSync name as determined by the ChessToGo for Palm application:
- Launch ChessToGo for Palm in your handheld device
- In the main window; bring up the menu, by tapping on the Menu Bar icon, or by tapping on the menu button in your graffiti area.
- Then tap on 'Options', then 'Register'
- In the next screen, take note of the text labelled as your HotSync name.
- Then tap on your HotSync name to bring up its hex-value.
- Please send us the following information:
- Your name, e-mail, date of purchase, your order reference number.
- The HotSync name of your device
- The hex-value of the HotSync name
To install and run ChessToGo for Palm on your handheld device, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- For Windows users
- Desktop PC
- Windows 98 or Windows ME or Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- Pentium class
- 16MB free hard disk space
- 32MB of available memory
- Palm Desktop software for Windows (latest version)
- HotSync Manager for Windows (latest version)
- For Mac users
- Apple Macintosh
- PowerPC processor
- Mac OS X (version 10.1.2 or higher)
Or
Mac OS 9.x with 12 MB of available memory
- 16 MB Free hard disk space
- Palm Desktop software for Mac (latest version)
- HotSync Manager for Mac (latest version)

Please refer to the accompanying product manual for more information on how to install ChessToGo for Palm. If you have not downloaded it, please download the latest copy from our website at http://www.learningtogo.com.
You can try ChessToGo for Palm for a maximum of 10 days. After which, you will need to purchase a license to continue using it. To purchase a license, please visit this webpage. You will need to provide us your HotSync name during purchase. To avoid delays in the registration process, please make sure you have entered the correct HotSync name, exactly as shown in your handheld device.
After purchasing, please allow up to 48 hours for us to send you your license key. Once you have your license key, please follow these steps to register your installation of ChessToGo for Palm:
- Launch ChessToGo for Palm in your handheld device
- In the main window; bring up the menu, by tapping on the Menu Bar icon, or by tapping on the menu button in your graffiti area.
- Then tap on 'Options', then 'Register'
- Enter your license key in the provided field and tap on 'OK'.
