Collidoscope 1.1 README
May 1, 2001

Collidoscope is a screen saver, application, and wallpaper generator
for Windows which delivers a nearly infinite variety of interesting
visual effects to the user's desktop. Multitudes of abstract objects
appear to traverse the computer screen and collide and interact with
each other, producing a wide variety of kaleidoscopic formations which
are incredibly dynamic and visually captivating. Collidoscope is
designed and engineered to provide hours of enjoyment without the
boredom which accompanies predictability.

Collidoscope software is provided as is, with no warranties explicit
or implied. Collidoscope 1.1 is freely redistributable in unmodified
form. Unlicensed use of Collidoscope 1.1 is free for an unlimited
trial period. The full functionality of Collidoscope 1.1 is available
for the first thirty days of the trial period. Please evaluate
Collidoscope before purchasing a personal use license.

Collidoscope requires a Pentium class processor with 32-bit Windows
and at least 32 MB of available memory. Use of DirectX is strongly
recommended. Fast processors with fast memory and large monitors and
good video cards are also recommended since Collidoscope is both
compute and display intensive. Collidoscope has been tested with
Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0.

Right click on the Collidoscope.scr icon to configure or install
Collidoscope. To uninstall Collidoscope delete it or move it to the
Recycle Bin. You can also rename a copy of Collidoscope.scr so that
it becomes Collidoscope.exe and can be run by double clicking on
the icon.

Purchase of a personal use license for Collidoscope forever unlocks
its full potential. After thirty days without a license Collidoscope
will be usable but will begin to repeat Collidoscopic sequences
after about ten minutes of use without notifying or nagging the user.
After thirty days of use an unlicensed Collidoscope will only allow a
single image or wallpaper capture. Both of these limitations may be
gotten around by exiting and restarting Collidoscope. After thirty
days of unlicensed use and when operated as a screen saver only three
new and distinct Collidoscopic sequences are displayed each week. This
limitation can be gotten around by changing Collidoscope's settings.
