Requirements

Ø If you’re new to software, I’ll advice you download WampServer2.0 or later version, this includes the PHP Engine, MySQL and Apache Server on Windows, if you are working on Linux system, you’ll have to download LAMP or XAMPP, XAMPP works on any OS platform

Ø Any browser works well.

Files Installation

Download the latest version of e-payrollv1.0.zip from http://scenariodeveloper.com/ if downloaded to a server directly then decompress all files and place them in the root directory of wamp i.e C:/wamp/www/ from which e-payroll will be run. You will need to setup directory data with read/write access.

Database Installation

Type http://localhost/phpmyadmin on a browser and run it > click on import > browse and locate a payroll_db.sql file located inside the database folder in the decompressed zip file and select it. > Go and your database is up.

Setup your Apache and MySQL to automatic startup

To do this, if you are using a windows7 system, on window startup, type services, a services icon will appear, open it, or if on Windows XP or vista, on start, right-click on Computer and click manage and open the services and application> you will see a list of all services running. Scroll down and look for wampapache > right-click > properties > startup type > change to automatic

Do the same for wampmysqld and close

Setup your WAMP server to launch automatically on windows startup

Set all hidden folders to be visible and uncheck all hidden operating system files.

Goto Start>Computer>LocalDiskC>User>SystemName>AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>Windows>Start Menu>Program>Startup

Drag the wamp icon into the startup folder

Creating a software launcher on the desktop

Open a new file in notepad and type in it start http://localhost/payroll_system.php then save as a batch file i.e Payroll.bat on your desktop.

Launch it from the desktop to launch the software and you are good to go.
