EGL runtime platforms

EGL-generated code runs in any of the following environments:

You can use EGL to write interactive code for CICS or IMS more easily. When you write interactive code, you structure your code as if the user were having a conversation with a program that is always in memory, even though the runtime code (in the usual case) is repeatedly brought into memory and taken out of memory during the user's interaction with the program. The complexity of the conversation is handled in the logic generated by EGL and not in your EGL source code, which is relatively simple to write and understand.
