This
section lists the messages and message help information generated
by EGL. The listing of messages is contained in two sections:
- Java
runtime error messages
- Rich UI runtime error messages
Message format
Messages that are generated
by EGL contain eight character identifiers. Messages are in the format
PREnnnns,
where:
- PRE
- The three or five character
identifier for the product. Rational
Business Developer messages begin with either EGL or CRRUI.
- nnn
- A three digit numerical
portion that uniquely identifies each
message
- s
- An identifier
describing the message severity:
- I
- Informational.
The message requires no user action.
- E
- Error. A user action is required.
- W
- Warning. The message may or may not require a user action.
