To set the basic EGL preferences:
- From the main menu, click .
- In the Preferences window, click EGL in
the tree.
- In the Encoding field, select the character-encoding
set that will be specified in the EGL build (.eglbld)
file, whenever you create the file. Your selection does not affect
existing build files. The default value, UTF-8, is appropriate in
most cases.
To establish preferences for Rich UI bidirectional text, which
you use if your application supports a language that is read from
right to left, such as Arabic or Hebrew, enable those preferences:
- In the Preferences window, expand EGL and
select Bidirectional text. The Bidirectional
text page is displayed.
- Select Enable bidirectional support. After
you select this check box, the other options are available.
- To display and edit the bidirectional text fields in visual mode,
which shows the way the text will be displayed, select Enable
visual data ordering.
- For languages that read from right to left, select Enable
right-to-left orientation.
To set the bidirectional preferences, in the Preferences window,
click EGL > Appearance > Bidirectional
