getTCPIPLocation()

The serviceLib.getTCPIPLocation() system function returns the host name and port number that provide TCP/IP access to an EGL service.

If the service-client binding for the service is not specified as TCP/IP, EGL throws a ServiceBindingException. For information about service-client binding, see “Service access in EGL.”

Syntax

  serviceLib.getTCPIPLocation(variable Service | Interface in)
  returns (string STRING)
variable
A variable that your code uses to access the service. This is a service or interface variable.
string
The returned string, in the following format:
  host:portNumber

host is the TCP/IP host name that refers to the machine where the service runs. portNumber is the number of the TCP/IP port that provides access to the service.
