If the upperCase property is set to YES, any alphabetic characters that the user enters are converted to upper case. The property applies only to single-byte character input; NO is the default.

* The following additional compatibility considerations apply:
Platform | Issue |
---|---|
CICS® | The property is not needed if the CICS terminal definition includes UCTRAN, which causes CICS to translate all terminal input to uppercase. |
IMS/VS | For the upperCase property to be effective, EDIT=ULD must be specified on the TRANSACT macro in the IMS GEN. If EDIT=UC is specified, input data is converted to upper case by IMS. If EDIT names a user-supplied transaction input edit routine, the data is edited by that routine and then edited based on the EGL properties specified for the field. |
