Platform Issue
CICS® The property is not needed if the CICS terminal definition includes UCTRAN, which causes CICS to translate all terminal input to uppercase.
IMS/VS For the upperCase property to be effective, EDIT=ULD must be specified on the TRANSACT macro in the IMS GEN. If EDIT=UC is specified, input data is converted to upper case by IMS. If EDIT names a user-supplied transaction input edit routine, the data is edited by that routine and then edited based on the EGL properties specified for the field.
