To set the basic Rich UI preferences:
- From the main menu, click . The Preferences
page is displayed.
- Expand EGL and Rich UI.
The Rich UI pane is displayed.
- In the Locales area, specify the locales that are available in
the EGL editor and for Rich UI deployment. The settings are used for
globalization. If a locale is available, you can invoke and deploy
a Rich UI application that provides messages that are appropriate
to that locale. For details, see "Use of properties files for displayable
text."
To add a locale:
- Click Add. The Create a new locale window
is displayed.
- Specify a locale code and description.
- Specify a locale for the EGL runtime messages, which are provided
by the EGL Runtime and are distinct from the messages that are included
in a properties file that you customize.
- Click OK.
To remove a locale from the list:
- Double-click a locale entry
- Click Remove
In the Rich UI window, you can change
the locale description or code by clicking either the Locale
Description or Locale Code column.
To assign a locale for the EGL runtime messages, even if that locale
is distinct from the locale that is used for the messages that you
provide, click the Runtime Messages Locale column
and select the locale from the list.
- To return the settings on the Rich UI window
to the original product settings, click Restore Defaults.
- To save your changes and remain on the Preferences page, click Apply.
To save your changes and exit the page, click OK.
To cancel the changes and exit the page, click Cancel.
