1. Page navigation
ErgoDataGrid is principally a grid of data with many functionalities delegated to its toolbar buttons.
Buttons

if present, indicate that data are organized in pages: make appear in order the first page, the previous one, the next one and the last page of records.
2. Visualized rows filter
Button 
makes appear the filter row, which gives the possibility to set the rules to choice what records visualize.
This row contain text boxes corresponding to every grid column.
It's possible to posizionate cursor over every one of them and changing the value: their contents is the visualization rule for the corresponding column.
To change the criterion within is considerated their value, that for default is the criterion equal to, you have to do a double-click over them and choice one of option (as far as 18) from the pop-up that appear near the text-box.
Boolean grid fields have a filter-box on which it's not possible to insert every value: you can double-click on its and set one of the attributes true or false;
otherwise you can use the method illustrated on end, valid for every possible type of data.
Apart from positioning the mouse on a filter-field and digiting the value, it's possible to click on the grid fields: corresponding value is brought in the relative filter text box.
For the grid fields with a date, filter value use the facilities adopted for the filter on the base of fields with date; besides, grid can be set in mode the date format will be friendly for the visualization but appear a correct value in the filter box clicking as indicated before.
With the button 
you activate the filter: visualized rows are that for which worth filter rules.
Button 
avoid the filter executed previously.

delete values in the filter-fields and changed criterions return to the default (equal to).
3. Filter and sorting pre-enstabilshed choices
Button 
, if present, makes appear a window on which there are possibilities in advance to set filter and record sort.
4. Real time data reloading
With the button 
, when present and active, grid is updated: its data are requested again to the server; once pressed, the button is disabled and it pass from the disabled state to the enabled one on end: this passing indicate that records transfer is ended positively.
5. Visualized rows sorting
Record sorting is executed in two ways, plus that given by possibility in advance:
- with left mouse key on every column header, grid is sorted only for the data-field associated to that column, in ascending mode if an up-arrow near the header appear (on the first click), in descending mode if a down-arrow appear (on the next click);
- with left mouse key + CTRL, grid is ordered in principal mode for the column on which appear an up or down arrow without any number near it, and then for the column on which I' ve clicked, in an ascending or descending mode equal to that illustrated for the left mouse key, with a number near to it that indicate the progressive importance for sorting: this time, if I click for the third time column is exluded from sorting rules.
All the grid columns can be added to this multi-field sorting, clicking the first time with the left mouse key and then with the right one.
6. Filter modality, visualized page, recordset page size, working language
On the right of the ErgoDataGrid toolbar can be some options, many of them optionals, that are:
the choice of the filter modality, that can be AND (all the fields make the filter) otherwise OR (at least one of the fields makes the filter);
the number of the visualized record page can be choose, in addition to the ErgoDataGrid toolbar buttons, also by a combo-box with the data-page on which navigate list;
a button near a text-box and the label Top:
Value inserted in the text-box says to ErgoDataGrid how many records visualize for every grid data-page;
If you write 0, data-page buttons disappear and all the record are visualized;
to set how many records visualize, you have to click on Set;
The working language can be set by the combo-box with the Lang label.
7. Link and tooltips
Into the grid body can be present fields with an associated link, on which clicking happens something different at every situation, or can appear upon the data-fields tooltips with explanations, suggestions, or additionals data.
Default tooltip appearing on every row indicates the row number, total rows number, and filtered rows after the button pression.
8. Rows marking
If you click on a row when the cursor indicate that I'm not on a link, the row is emphasized: you can emphasize rows as much as you like, which remain emphasized after data-page changing, too; clicking the second time the row is unemphasized.
9. Columns resize
Positioning the mouse on every column header vertical border and moving it on the right or on the left keeping pressed the left key, you can size corresponding column width: if succesively you double-click on the vertical border, the width returns that which was at the origin.
