EuroConvertor 1.2.1
===================

Installation
------------
Execute setup.exe
This program needs the VB5 runtimes (you can download them
at http://www.wimsprograms.com/vb5run).

Uninstall
---------
Open the Control Panel, go to Add/Remove Programs. Then choose
EuroConvertor from the list and press the Add/Remove button.

Usage
-----
Type in the value, press the button of the currency you're
converting from and than the one you're converting to.
Example: you want to convert 2,000 Euro into US dollar:
- type 2000
- click on EUR
- click on USD

Changing currencies
-------------------
Click the Options menu-item, you will than see the Options window.

On the left, there's a list with all available currencies.
- Add creates a new currency
- Edit lets you change the conversion rate of the selected currency
- Delete eh... deletes the selected currency
- Update will download a new set of conversion rates from the internet.
The file containing the most recent conversion rates resides on my
homepage and should be updated every day at about 7 AM (GMT).
- Default will change all currencies and conversion rates back to the
  state they were after installation.

At the bottom are two checkboxes:
- "Minimize to tray", when checked, will minimize EuroConvertor to an
icon in the tray bar, next to the clock
- "Update on startup", when checked, will cause EuroConvertor to download
new conversion rates each time the program is started.

On the right you see a lot of textboxes. Every box corresponds with
a button on the main window: if you want the Canadian Dollar to be
at the second button, select Canadian dollar in the list and press the
second ">"-button.

The last textbox is the currency that will be used to set up conversion
rates: if you're living in Japan and receive all conversion rates in yen,
set it to Japanese yen. You only need a base currency if you're updating
the conversion rates yourself (using the Edit button), if you use the
Update button to download conversion rates the base currency is not used.

Automated Updates
-----------------
If you start EuroConvertor with /update on the command line, the program
will connect to the Internet and download updated conversion rates
without showing the User Interface. So if you put a shortcut to
"<path-to-econv>\econv.exe /update" in your Startup menu new rates will
be downloaded whenever you start your computer.
