Fluition makes the creation of presentations as easy as creating documents like most popular software applications. Creating a new presentation only requires selecting New under the File Menu and a new, blank presentation will be opened in the Fluition environment.
Fluition has a number of Templates that can be used as a starting point for the creation of SMIL presentations. Fluition templates also contain embedded instructions that appear in a window to help guide the creation of a presentation. Templates can also be customized or created from new presentations since the instruction steps are contained within the SMIL code. A SMIL Template file uses the .SMT extension.
Once a presentation has been completed, that presentation can be saved to disk. This file is completely SMIL compliant and can be used in any of the compatible player programs that are widely available.
After a presentation has been saved, Fluition can open these files for further modification within the Fluition graphical layout environment. Although Fluition is capable of handling almost any SMIL compliant file, it opens files easier if they were created using Fluition.
