The Fluition QuickStart Window is an excellent place to start for getting familiar with Fluition.

The Fluition QuickStart Window gives you access to the Fluition templates and lets you see a sample SMIL presentation as well as how it was created. The QuickStart Window on Fluition for Windows will also walk you through the creation of your first presentation. Fluition for Macintosh will take you through a tour of Fluition. If at any time you wish to view the Fluition QuickStart Window choose Fluition QuickStart Window from the Help menu option. |

To use one of the three features of the QuickStart Windows click on one of the buttons to the left of the description of that feature.
This feature will walk you through the process of creating a presentation. You will need to have your media files ready for use within Fluition. Optimally, you will have your media in a folder and, when asked by Fluition to save your presentation to a folder, you will be able to save the presentation to that folder.
If you do not have media already created for your presentation, Fluition comes with Sample Media on the install CD-ROM. Insert the Fluition CD-ROM into your computer and open. To access media files that have already been encoded for RealPlayer open the SampleMedia folder and copy the media from the Tutorial Files folder to your new folder.
Fluition will provide instructions during the process to help you create a presentation. Fluition will also provide tips and explanations to help you understand the process of creating a presentation as well as the underlying principles behind how certain conventions are used within Fluition.
Once you have completed the steps presented to you, Fluition will ask you to click the "Finish" button and will open your presentation in Fluition so you can see how all the information is presented within Fluition. The presentation will now be able to be previewed and further modified.
Fluition for Macintosh offers a tour of Fluition as well as explanations for how the various Fluition Windows are used and "Tips" for creating great presentations with ease.
Use the "Next" and "Back" buttons at the bottom of the Window to step through the different parts of the Tour.
Templates are another powerful feature within Fluition to help get you started quickly with superior presentation creation. Once you choose this feature you will have a choice of 5 templates with varying degrees of complexity. Click on each of the templates to get a visual representation as well as an explanation about the presentation you will be creating with the chosen template.
Once you have chosen a template and clicked "Next" you will be asked to name your presentation and save it to a folder. Copy the media you wish to use for your presentation to this same folder.

Fluition will prompt you with instruction windows that will follow you throughout the creation process until you are finished creating your new presentation. Move back and forth between the instruction steps by using the "Back" and "Next" buttons.
The Fluition Template help function is intended as a guide to help you create both simple and complex presentations. After you have completed the instructions you will be able to further modify or "tweak" your presentation to achieve your desired effect.
Fluition offers a sample presentation for your viewing pleasure. The important aspect of this feature is that the presentation is opened in Fluition so that you can see how Fluition loads in the presentation. You will be able to see how the presentation was created as well as the SMIL code. You will also be able to modify the presentation if you wish to get a feel for how your changes affect the final viewing experience.
Note: Be careful when modifying the sample presentation that you do not save the changes when you close the presentation or those changes will affect the presentation the next time you open Fluition.
