A SMIL presentation consists of a main display window or what is called a Root Layout. The Root Layout contains information about the attributes of the presentation. Presentation attributes include appearance qualities, such as size and background color. The different attributes of a presentation can be modified using the Presentation Layout Window. The Layout Window contains fields and pop-up menus that are used to change the various attributes of the presentation. A background image can be inserted in your presentation using the Presentation Layout Window.

The Presentation Layout Window can be accessed at any time to change any of the attributes by choosing the Modify Layout option from the Presentation menu option. |

Production information can be added to your presentation and includes the title, author, description and copyright information. Most Players will display some or all of the Metadata you include with your presentation.
Fluition uses the ID attribute to store the filename for the presentation. Make sure to save your presentation to a folder containing the media you will use to assemble you presentation by clicking the "Browse" button next to the "Filename" field.
The Title attribute contains the title that is displayed in the Player when the presentation is being played.
The description of the presentation also referred to as the abstract for the presentation.
The Author field contains information about the author of the presentation.
The Copyright field contains the copyright information about the presentation.
The width of the presentation is measured in pixels and can be changed in the width field or by selecting from the pop-up menu sizes.
The Height of the presentation is measured in pixels and can be changed in the height field or by selecting from the pop-up menu sizes.
The background color of a presentation can be any one of the available colors and is selected using the pop-up menu.
Using the browse button you can select an image for use as a background image.
Important Note: Anchors cannot be drawn in a Background Image that has been inserted in to your presentation using the Presentation Layout Window. To draw Anchors in a Background Image, draw a Region the same size as your presentation, set your Top and Left axis points to 0, add an image using the Clip Library and assign a Freeze tag to your image to have it displayed throughout your presentation. Now draw your Anchors as you would for your other media.

The base URL of a presentation describes the location of the media used within the presentation. The server type can be selected using the pop-up menu and the address can be entered in the URL field.
