SWITCHING BETWEEN VIEWING DEMO DATA AND LIVE 
PRODUCTION DATA IN GC TERMTRACKER SOFTWARE

Before you proceed, make sure you have a back-up of your GC TermTracker files.

There are two sets of instructions:
- "Standalone Users" is for those users who currently are using the standalone
version of GC TermTracker Software.
- "Network Users" is for network administrators that have installed the Network
license for GC TermTracker Software. 

If you are not sure which applies to you please contact the General Code Help
Desk at 1-800-836-8834 for further instructions before you proceed.


STANDALONE USERS

In the directory where the application was installed you will find this
file (SWITCHDEMO.TXT) and 3 database files used by the program. The two you
are concerned with are called TTDB.mdb and TTDB_demo.mdb. The 3rd database
file newTTDB.mdb should be left alone. The first file (TTDB.mdb) is your
main database file. It contains all of your live production data. The other
file (TTDB_demo.mdb) is a database file containing demo data for you to
experiment with. Please use the following instructions to switch between 
your live database and the demo database:

Please follow these steps if you are currently viewing live production data
when you run the program and you want to view the demo data instead:

1) Close all instances of GC TermTracker Software
2) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory where the program
was installed. If you accepted all of the defaults during the installation
process then this directory will be "C:\Program Files\GC TermTracker
Software".
3) Locate the file TTDB.MDB and rename it to TTDB_live.mdb
4) Locate the file TTDB_demo.mdb and rename it to TTDB.mdb
5) Launch the program. You should now be viewing the demo data.

Please follow these steps if you are currently viewing demo data when you
run the program and you want to view your live production data instead.

1) Close all instances of GC TermTracker Software
2) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory where the program
was installed. If you accepted all of the defaults during the installation
process then this directory will be "C:\Program Files\GC TermTracker
Software".
3) Locate the file TTDB.MDB and rename it to TTDB_demo.mdb
4) Locate the file TTDB_live.mdb and rename it to TTDB.mdb
5) Launch the program. You should now be viewing your live production data.

NETWORK USERS

In the directory where the application was installed you will find this
file (SWITCHDEMO.TXT). On the network in the directory where the database
and license files are stored you will find 3 database files used by the
program. The two you are concerned with are called TTDB.mdb and
TTDB_demo.mdb. The 3rd database file newTTDB.mdb should be left alone. The
first file (TTDB.mdb) is your main database file. It contains all of your
