Main Screen
From here you can launch the various screens that make up GloBoatPro. You may also access
the "About" and "Register..." screens by selecting the menu drop down area. All of the various screens
have a "Home" button in the bottom right corner that will bring you back to the Main Screen.

Signal Flags
Here you can identify the various signal flags you might see. By choosing the buttons at the
bottom you can view the different groups.

Flag Meaning
By scrolling through this list, you can match a signal flag to it's meaning.

Sea State
Choose a sea state by selecting the pulldown box (down arrow) to get a description and the
wave height in feet.

Beaufort Scale
Choose the beaufort scale by selecting the pulldown box (down arrow) to get a description, the
sea condition, and the wind speed in knots.

Fuel Planner
Use this screen to calculate the distance and time you have available based on the amount of
fuel onboard, your average cruising speed, and your average fuel consumption at cruising
speed. Always allow one third of your fuel for reserve, in case of unforseen problems. Results
carried to one decimal place.

Spd/Time/Dist
Solve for Speed, Time, or Distance by selecting the pulldown box (down arrow) and making your
selection. Enter the two values in the appropriate fields and select the Solve button to
calculate. Results carried to one decimal place.

Lat/Lon Conv
This screen is for converting between latitude/longitude formats. Select the pulldown boxes (down
arrows) for the desired In format and the desired Out format.
   ddmmss - Degrees - Minutes - Seconds: Example 23 deg 34 min 56.7 sec
   ddmm.mm - Degrees - Minutes - Decimal Minutes: Example 23 deg 34.945 min
   dd.ddddd - Degrees - Decimal Degrees: Example 23.58241666 deg
Directly above the keypad buttons, the required input format is shown for reference. By choosing the
Lat or Lon buttons, it will select the associated field and you can then enter via the keypads. (You may
also directly enter the values directly into the fields).
Toggle N/S or E/W by selecting the appropriate button.
You can use the "Back" button (Arrow button pointing to left) to backspace one character at a time, or press
the Clear button to Clear all fields.
Note: when dealing with dd.dddd formats, South and West are shown as negative numbers...this is used
in different programs, etc)
Press Convert button when ready to convert formats. Decimal degree results carried to 8 places, decimal
minutes to 3 places, and DegreeMinuteSecond carried to 1 place.

Dist To Horizon
To find the visual distance to the Horizon, enter the Eye Height (in feet) above the water and press the
Calculate button. Please note...this does not (and can't!!) take into account visibility or obstructions, it is
based on a clear unobstructed view.

Moon Phase
This screen will give you a graphical representation of the moon phase and its name based on the date
in the upper right of the screen. Select this date to find the moon phase for another date. Accurate to within
a few days, dependent on when you consider the phase changes! (It's been tested to the year 2019!)

Sunrise/Sunset
Calculate the sunrise/sunset of any location for any given date! Select the date to use in the upper right hand
corner if you want to calculate a date other than today. Select your Time Zone (+/- GMT) from the pulldown
box. (EST = -5, PST = -8, etc). You can find your zone from the Preferences section on your device. Check box
for Daylight Savings Time. Select N/S or E/W buttons to toggle, and use the up/down arrows to "dial" in your
lat/lon. The Twilight Selection allows you to choose between:
Official - Upper edge of Sun at horizon
Civil - Sun center is 6 degrees below horizon
Nautical - Sun center is 12 degrees below horizon
Astronomical - Sun center is 18 degrees below horizon
The calculations are based on an unobstructed view at a relatively flat area with average weather conditions.

Misc Conv
Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, Knots to MPH, or Inches to Millibars. Or, reverse the conversions by selecting
the first term (ie. "F" box for temperature). The conversion labels will reverse. Results carried out to two decimal
places.
