1.What is Card Export.

Card Export 2 is an application to copy the data on your computer to the
"Secure Digital" or "MultiMedia Card" (SD/MMC) on you Palm handheld
without performing HotSync(r) operation.

Card Export 2 implements industry standart USB Mass Storage protocol and
uses built-in operation system drivers to provide access to the cards.

1.1 How to use Card Export.

You need to install CardExport2.prc file to your handheld and launch it.
Card Export will update your system upon first launch and ask you to reset
system. After soft reset you can launch Card Export again, insert 
SD/MMC card and tap "Connect to Desktop" button to establish connection
with desktop.

Using flash card as removable disk

Using Card Export you can use you Palm OS handheld with flash card as
removable disk (like a large capacity floppy) from Windows desktop on 
your computer. You can not only read data from flash card, but also 
write any data to the flash card from your computer.

2. System requirements

Card Export requires Palm OS 4.x, 5.x.x handheld with USB connection 
Palm One m125, m500, m505, m515, Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3, Tungsten C,
Zire 71/72, Palm Zire 31, Tapwave Zodiac/Zodiac 2, Sony Clie PEG NX60/70V, 
Sony Clie PEG SJ22, Sony Clie PEG TH55, Sony Clie PEG UX40/50, Palm Tungsten T5.

Some Sony Clie handhelds is not supported. You can use built-in MS Import/MS Export 
instead.

Current version doesn't support: Handspring Treo 90, Kyocera smartphones, 
Palm m130 handheld, Alphasmart Dana handhelds.

Card Export 2.0 does NOT require Palm Desktop software installed.

Card Export 2.0 requires 100K of storage space on Palm OS handheld and 128K heap.

Palm Zire 71
To prevent card corruption make sure you have installed SD/SDIO update 
from PalmOne support site:

Palm Tungsten T3
To prevent card corruption make sure you have installed Tungsten T3 Update 
from PalmOne support site:
http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/tungstent3/t3_update.html

Palm Tungsten E
To successfully use SD/MMC cards larger 64MB you need to install MMC update
freely available at www.palmone.com support site.

3. Installation

 a. Unpack archive to some temporary folder
 b. Schedule CardExport2.prc for installation
 c. Press HotSync button on the cradle to install CardExport2.prc to your handheld PC.
 d. Launch Card Export on handheld and follow instructions.

3.1 Upgrade from Card Export 1.xx.

  You can install both versions on the same handheld without any problems. 

  You don't need to install anything on desktop computer for supported operation systems 
  except Windows 98 which required USB Mass Storage driver

3.2 Uninstallation

  To remove Card Export 2 you need to:
  	1. Launch Card Export and select "Uninstall" from program menu. Make sure that
  	   you are disconnected since menu isn't accessible in connected state.

  	2. Card Export will ask you to reset your Palm device.

  	3. After reset remove Card Export as any other Palm OS application via Launcher
  	   Delete menu.

  In case you manually removed CardExport2.prc without above uninstallation procedure
you need to remove USB driver from the RAM and all associated language modules. 
You can use Launcher to remove USB driver and any file manager to remove language modules.

4.Known issues:

See "System requirements" section.

PalmOne Tungsten-T, T2, E, Treo 600, 650, Palm Zire 72:
	There is 5 seconds delay between pressing to "Connect to Desktop" button
and actual USB Mass Storage device recognizing. This isn't a demo restriction and
cannot be fixed.

PalmOne m515:
	Sometimes it's neccessary to remove device from the cradle and insert it again
to successfully establish connection.

Current version doesn't work with Palm RAM disk from handwatch.com

PalmOne Tungsten-E:
	PalmOne Tungsten-E fail to access last sectors from SD cards, with and without
MMC update. This appears to be a problem inside Tungsten-E slot driver, hope
we will see an update from PalmOne sometimes.
