About JaxView

Welcome to JaxView, a versatile and flexible Web service management tool. JaxView gives you the capability to discover, monitor, and report on the performance and usage of Web services. JaxView can also be used as a service gateway or XML firewall to enforce authentication and other runtime policies for SOA environments. It is also scalable with options for clustering and sharing configuration data via a database. JaxView can also be integrated with UDDI registries to enable closed-loop governance.

Getting Started with JaxView

If you have not installed JaxView yet, please read the installation instructions first. If you have already installed JaxView, click on the Open JaxView link below to go to the JaxView Login page on this server. If this is the first time you are logging into JaxView, use the following login credentials:

login name: admin
password: admin
You can change this using the User settings node of the Admin tab once you have logged in.

Open JaxView

You can also open JaxView from another computer using the following address syntax:
http://<IPAddress>:9090/Hubble/servlet/LoginServlet
where <IPAddress> is the IP address of the machine where JaxView is running.

On Microsoft Windows platforms, JaxView runs as a service. You can use the Computer Management -> Services panel to start and stop the JaxView service.

NOTE: If you are having trouble starting the service on Microsoft Windows XP platforms, please find the file named VCRTArchive.zip included with the JaxView download. Unzip this file into the root directory of the machine where JaxView is installed. This will install the necessary DLL's for JaxView to run on Windows XP.

Licensing

The JaxView demo version is a free trial for 14 days. If you are interested in purchasing JaxView you can do so by contacting sales@managedmethods.com.

If you have purchased a JaxView license and need to purchase more licensing, you can do so by contacting sales@managedmethods.com. Once you receive the new license file, you add the license by saving the file in the <JaxView_app_root_directory>/config directory. The new license file is added to any existing licensing.
