When deployed as a proxy or XML firewall, JaxView can be used to secure Web services. Some or all of the authentication and validation processes can be moved from the service interfaces and centralized to JaxView. This includes the option to have JaxView handle user or client authentication using established protocols such as SSL/TLS, Kerberos, and STS. When deployed as a proxy JaxView has access to the request messages before forwarding them to the server and therefore can act as an XML firewall.
