Installation and first run:
Uncompress the archive and run the 'jmap.jar' file.

Importing Maps:
Before a map may be used, a map (.jmap) file must be created. To do this select
'Import Map' from the menu and select the .jar file containing the map. Select
required map from the selection box and save to the required location. Any
plugins may now be added.
There are 2 sample maps available in the 'Map' folder. These are for Ordinance
Survey and OpenStreetMaps, and do not contain any images.

Loading a Map:
To load a map open the correct map (.jmap) file. If running JMap from a
terminal appending the full filepath of the map file will cause it to be opened.
This also provides a mechanism for creating a shortcut to a particular map.

Included Maps:
The maps currently shipped with JMap are for Ordnance Survey and OpenStreetMap
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/). These are found in the 'Map' folder of release.

Included Plugins:
There are two plugins included in the release, a route creation plugin and a
list of placenames for the UK. To add or remove plugins from a map file use
the plugin menu.
The data contained in the list of placenames was released under the following
license 'http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/opendata/licence'.

If it does not run:
Make sure you have the latest java installed (v1.7.* or better)
Make sure the system associates '.jar' files with java or open a terminal
(Command Prompt in Windows) in the directory containing the .jar file and run
'java -jar jmap.jar'
