Description

Lulu is a numbers generator with simple and colorful statistical display and factorials calculations.

Features:
  1. Generate 1 to 10 numbers ranges between 1 and 81;
  2. User defined number range;
  3. User defined how many number to draw;
  4. May be used to simulate throwing of dice;
  5. Numbers can be included and excluded;
  6. Display simple and colorful statistical table for each number;

Files List:
  1. Lulu.exe
  2. Lulu.dll
  3. Lulu_help.html

System Requirements

Any Windows operating systems version 95 or above, including Vista.

How To Use?

Double click "Lulu.exe", then click the 'Draw' button.

Six numbers will be drawn randomly for you.

You may change the numbers range to be drawn from the list box Minimal No. and Maximal No., and change how many number to draw from Numbers to generate.

There is a small edit list you may toggle from the 'Edit' menu for you to put your favorited drawn numbers.

If you want to include some numbers in the drawing list, left click the numbers in the number-grid.  You may include at most nine numbers.  Left click the numbers again will cancel the inclusion.

Likewise, if you want to exclude some numbers in the drawing list, right click the numbers in the number-grid.  Same as inclusion, you may exclude at most nine numbers.  Right click the numbers again will cancel the exclusion.

Just a note, you may already figure out : ), the included number cannot be the excluded number at the same time, and vice versa.
If you've included a number, then exclude it, Lulu will take the latter, so does it when vice versa.

Statistics

On the right hand side of the window, there is a stistical table, which displays how many times each number has been drawn using a spectrum of colors.

The legend of the spectrum: from dark violet to red, is right below the statistical table.  Dark violet means the number has been drawn one time; purple means two times; dark blue means three times, ... red means ten times.

You may widen this color changing progression by changing the value of sensitivity.  To change it, choose 'Sensitivity' under the 'Statistics' menu.
The default value of sensitivity is one: which means the color will be changed whenever the numbers were drawn.  If you changed it to, for example, three, the color will be changed only after every three draws.

The value allowed for the sensitiviy is from 1 to 9.

Since there are only ten colors in the spectrum, the maximum number of draw can be displayed with color is ten (when the sensitivity is 1), but the statistics will not just stop there, it will continue to count each number drawn, you may obtain this further detail by moving your mouse cursor onto any of the numbers in the statistical table.

When you have enough sampling, choose 'clear' from the 'Statistics' menu to reset all the statistical data.

Factorials

You may toggle the section to calculate factorials by choosing 'Factorials' under the 'Statistics' menu.

The calculation of factorial itself is not available here, since most of you have only 32-bit computer, the factorial number can easily become too big that your 32-bit computer cannot handle.  Instead 'permutations' and 'combinations' are provided here.

You must enter the values for 'subset' and 'total' first.

'subset' is the number of subset;
'total' is the total number in the set.

Once you entered the values, click 'permutations' and/or 'combinations' to get the output.

If you don't understand much about this and you're interested in it, some simple examples can be found on my website: http://www.geocities.com/kalvinau2003/factorial.html

"Check Integrity"

The feature "Check Integrity" is in the Help menu.   When this feature is called, the program will check Lulu.exe to see whether it has been tampered.   This feature is just to inform you whether the copy you have downloaded is intact.

If it reports that the file been corrupted, you should scan your computer for adware, spyware, etc.
