Thank you for trying Memoirs.

Memoirs is journaling application and should be easy to interact with.

Upon opening Memoirs, the first page: Memoirs presents 3 options

• View: This option opens the List page. (List page will be useful once you have records)
• New: Opens the Ambience (New/Edit) page.
• Handheld picture: Tapping this will open the Ambience page of the last record you were viewing.
  
  Ambience page
  
  The first thing to do on this page is to set a date for this record of entries (12). Tap the field in the uper right corner to bring up the calander, and choose a day (Today).
  
  For each day (record) there are 12 possible entries (Category pages). These are accesed by tapping the icons:

• Happy
• Grin
• Wink
• Cool
• Smile
• Yikes
• Yawn
• Bummer
• Grrrrr
• Question
• Urgent
• Insight
  
  Check the check- box under each category you've used.
  
  Category pages (12):
  
  Each of these pages shows the record date in the upper right corner. The date can be changed here, but this will change the date for all the entries associated with this record.
  
  Score: this is a number between -12 & 12; a score you assign to each entry.
  
  The main section of this page is for entering your thoughts/feelings - the icon in the top right being used to catergorize. Tapping this icon on the left opens the previous record of the same category, while tapping on the right half will open the next.
  
  X: Deletes the current record - WARNING! - this will delete all the entries for that day.
  
  < >: Opens previous/next record.
  
  Evaluation: Opens the Ambience Score page.
  
  New: Starts a new record.
  
  List: Opens the List page.
  
  Evaluation page:
  
  This page is formatted similar to the Ambience page, but will show your category scores under the associated icons.
  
  Tapping the Update button will compute youe average score for that record (day).
  
  List page:
  
  An overview of your records/scores can be seen here. Tapping on a particular date/score will open its Ambience (new/edit) page.
  
  Overall this should be an easy journaling application to use. The breif delays on appearance of icons and following update are normal, and are more obvious on color devices.
  
  

At request, a conversion utility is available which can import Memoirs records to Excel or similar format. It's a little cumbersome to learn. Also, your date is backed up and can be retreived in case of a Palm crash. It can be found in C:\Palm\"your name"\Backup and or Archive as Mmrs.

I welcome feedback and suggestions for updates.

Legal Stuff:

1. LICENSE.

a) TRIAL VERSION: HandiQ grants Licensee the non-exclusive right to use the Software for a period of no more than thirty (30) days, to run consecutively from the date of first use.

b) REGISTERED VERSION: In exchange for the payment of the required license fee for the Software, HandiQ grants to Licensee a perpetual non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use the Software on the number of handheld computers for which Licensee has paid the appropriate license fee.

2. RESTRICTIONS. HandiQ retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software. Any rights not granted to Licensee in this Agreement are reserved by HandiQ

a) Licensee may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to learn the inner workings, source code, structure,or algorithms underlying the Software except to the extent permittedunder applicable law.

c) Licensee may not rent, lease, sublicense, or sell the Software or any portion of the Software.

d) Licensee may not remove or alter any trademark, logo, copyright or any other proprietary notices, legends, symbols or labels on or in the Software.

e) Licensee may not use the Software to develop either directly or indirectly an application competitive to any product developed by HandiQ.

f) Licensee may not use the Software in a manner that violates any applicable laws in the jurisdictions in which Licensee uses the Software, including, but not limited to, laws concerning copyright and intellectual property rights.

g) Licensee may not export or re-export the Software if such an actionviolates applicable laws and restrictions in the jurisdiction in which Licensee intends to perform such an action.

h) Licensee may make copies of the software for backup, but for no other purpose.

3. FEES. The Registered Version of the Software requires Licensee to pay a license fee.

THIS SOFTWARE APPLICATION HAS BEEN TESTED AND HANDIQ HAS NOT FOUND ANY ABNORMAL OPERATIONS WITH THE MAJORITY OF POPULAR HACKS: X-MASTER, AFTERBURNER, QUICKBITZ, FONT HACK. HOWEVER, HANDIQ OFFERS NO WARRANTY IN REGARDS TO PERFORMANCE OR DATA SECURITY NOR WILL HANDIQ BE LIABLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS.

DATA LOSS IS A RISK WITH ANY COMPUTER APPLICATION, AND IT IS THE USERS RESPONSIBILITY TO SECURE AND BACK-UP DATA.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HANDIQ BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, AND THE LIKE, ARISING OUT OF THISAGREEMENT OR THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE EVEN IF A PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
