Database Pools


The following section covers the management of Database Pools with the NXTware Server and the IME development environment.

Description

The Database Pools section enables you to add, modify, remove database pools that will be launched by the engine.

Adding

To add a new pool to a configuration, select the configuration and click the New button.
Provide a File Name



Select the file that was created in the previous step and click the New button.



Provide a Pool name. If a pool with the same name is already defined in the shared configuration, the pool being defined in the selected configuration will overide the shared one for the configuration.



Select the Pool created in the previous step.



Select the driver from the drop down list.



Modify the URL with the proper values. Enter a username and password if necessary.



  • Set the Transaction Level
  • Set the Minimum and Maximum number of connections
  • Set the Pool timers values



    Click the Apply button.

    Modifying

    To modify an pool, select the pool from the list, make your modifications and click the Apply button.

    Deleting

    To delete an pool, select the pool from the list and click the Delete button. Click the Apply button to make the changes permanent.
