Welcome to Advanced Remote Receiver
Advanced Remote Receiver is a Windows tool that works in conjunction with
Advanced Presentation Remote and/or Advanced Windows Remote, allowing your
remote device to act as a remote control for your computer.
Advanced Presentation Remote and Advanced Windows Remote work by sending simple
control messages to a windows host computer (e.g., press key "X", change slide, move mouse upwards).
On the Windows host computer, Advanced Remote Receiver receives the above messages,
translates them to keyboard and mouse events and "injects" them
into the windows event handling mechanism.
To use Advanced Presentation Remote and/or and Advanced Windows Remote
you will need a mobile device with Android 4.0 or newer.
To run Advanced Remote Receiver (this program) you will need a PC with
Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista , Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Features of Advanced Presentation Remote
Works with PowerPoint, Open Office Impress and all presentation software.
Slides can be changed with volume keys, swipe motion, and/or by pressing
on-screen buttons.
Converts your mobile device to a fully-featured touchpad for your host computer.
Converts your mobile device to a laser pointer by utilizing the builtin
rotation sensors (gravity sensor and geomagnetic field sensors).
Includes a timer with silent vibration alarms which you can use to keep
to time your presentation.
Features of Advanced Windows Remote
Converts your mobile device to a fully-featured touchpad for your host computer.
Uses tha builtin rotation sensors of your device (gravity sensor and geomagnetic
field sensors) to converts your smartphone's motion to motion of the mouse cursor on your PC.
Makes use of your favourite android keyboard, as customized by you on your
android device.
Can be used to launch arbitrary applications on the windows host machine.
Can be used to remotely invoke commands such as sleep, log off, shutdown, invoke screen saver, etc.
Can be used to remotely wake up the host computer (Wake-On-Lan).

Sits on your system tray.
Consumes minimal resources.
Configurable pointer and touchpad speeds.
Provides a level of security against unwanted access by requiring incoming
messages to contain specific password hash codes.
Can be used to configure arbitrary applications to be run remotely.

Installation
In order to install Advanced Presentation Remote/Advanced Windows Remote you must
follow the following three-step procedure:
Install Advanced Remote Receiver (this program) on your presentation computer (Windows PC).
Install Advanced Presentation Remote or Advanced Windows Remote on your mobile device (Android smartphone or tablet).
Configure the Presentation Remote (the app on the mobile device) to connect with the server.
Advanced Presentation Remote and/or Advanced Windows Remote (the android apps) can be installed on your
mobile device via the Google Marketplace (Google Play Store).
Advanced Remote Receiver (the windows application) should be manually downloaded and installed on your Windows PC.
In order to do so, please follow the following steps.
Download 100dof_advancedremotereceiver_setup.exe and save it in a temporary folder, or your desktop.
Run 100dof_advancedremotereceiver_setup.exe to start the setup wizard.
Select the desired installation settings, and click 'install' to start installation.
You will be prompted to read/accept our licence agreement and also to provide installation options. You may accept the default settings or change them as you wish.
You can also install Advanced Remote Receiver by downloading
the portable version (a zip file) and
manually extracting it in a covenient place. The portable version is very convenient for presentations in that it can be used right from
a memory stick.
Purchase software license
Advanced Presentation Remote and/or Advanced Windows Remote are provided free of charge via the Google Marketplace (Google Play Store).
Advanced Remote Receiver is provided as shareware. You may test it out for no charge for as much time as you wish but if you really
like it and you would like to to continue using it, you should buy a license. Licensed users are entitled to:
Legally using the software beyond evaluation.
No reminder window prompting to buy a license.
Free upgrades to all future versions of Advanced Remote Receiver.

Credits and acknowledgements
Advanced Presentation Remote (the android app) has been developed in the Java programming language using the
Android Software Development Kit and Eclipse using the Android Development Tools (ADT) Plugin.
The Remote Receiver has been developed in pascal using Lazarus/FPC.
Network connectivity in Windows (sending email, uploading ftp files and getting UDP triggers via the network) is facilitated via the Indy.Sockets library.
Last but not least, the windows installer for the Advanced Remote Receiver was compiled with Inno Setup.
