1. Description
^
This is a small utility that displays a calendar with the twelve months of a year using the
Windows regional settings. Easy access to the calendar through an taskbar icon,
which shows the current day of the month. Configurable colors and column layout, and it also
has the options of configure the first month in the calendar, the first day of the week and
printing the calendar.

2. License agreement

This software is freeware either for personal or comercial use, so you can use it for free without
any type of additional licenses. For inclusion in any distribution made for profit (software compilations, CD's...)
you must contact the author for authorization.
This software is provided "as is", WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. The author declines responsibility for any
damages arising out of the use of this program.
You can redistribute this software for free, as long as you don't charge any money for the software itself, and
only if you use the original package (you can download it from the AMPsoft web site at http://www.ampsoft.net/).
3. Main window

Toolbar
In the toolbar there are available the following items:
- Today: Shows the current date/year in the calendar.
- Go to year: Makes the calendar show the year contained in the text box.
- Selected date: Shows the selected date, or the number of days selected if
Multiple day selection is enabled in the options.
- Exit: Exits the program completely (closing the window will left the program active but with only
the taskbar icon visible).
Calendar
You can perform the following actions clicking in the calendar itself:
- You can use the buttons in the top-left/top-right corners to view the previous/next
12 months.
- You can click on the name of any month to select the month to be displayed there.
- You can click on any year number to select the year to be displayed there.
- If Multiple day selection is enabled in the options, you can
select a range of days and the program will show how many days are included between the start
and end date.
Menu bar
File menu
- Printer setup: Configures the printer output.
- Print calendar: Prints the calendar with the current layout.
- Close window: Closes the program window (only the taskbar icon remains visible).
- Exit: Exits the program completely.
Go menu
- Today: Shows the current date/year in the calendar.
- Next year: Advances the calendar one year.
- Previous year: Goes back one year in the calendar.
- Go to year: Makes the calendar show the year entered in the text box.
View menu
- 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns, 4 columns, 6 columns & 12 columns:
Changes the calendar layout so it displays the selected number of columns.
- Show toolbar: Shows/hides the toolbar.
- Show week numbers: Shows/hides week number in the calendar.
- Always on top: Shows calendar window on top of other applications.
- Options: Open the options window.
Help menu
- View help: Shows this file.
- About: Shows the About window.
4. Options window

- Always on top: Shows calendar window on top of other applications.
- Load on Windows startup: Runs the application at session start (as taskbar icon).
- Show date in taskbar icon: Shows the current date in the taskbar icon.
- Use small numbers: Uses small numbers in the taskbar icon.
- Bold: Show the numbers in bold (only for small numbers).
- Transparent icon: Shows only the date numbers without decoration.
- Font color: Color for the date numbers (only for transparent icons).
- Long date format in the taskbar icon tooltip: Shows the long date format (sentence format) in taskbar icon tooltip. If not checked shows the short date format (only numbers)
- Show week numbers by default: Shows week numbers in calendar by default.
- Multiple day selection: Allows selecting several days in the calendar.
- Print background colors: Includes background colors when printing the calendar.
- Default number of columns: Default number of columns in the calendar.
- Show only the calendar itself: Shows only the calendar itself, without borders nor menu bar.
The toolbar is also hidden regardless of the toolbar settings. In this mode, you can always hide the calendar pressing Escape
no matter what is selected in Close calendar with Escape.
- Show toolbar by default: Shows the toolbar by default.
- Show large icons: Shows large icons in the toolbar.
- Activate with single click in taskbar icon: Shows/hides the window with a single click in the taskbar icon. By default, doble-click always shows the window (no toggle).
- Close calendar with Escape: Closes the calendar window when Escape is pressed (the taskbar icon remains active).
- Activate with hotkey: Assigns a hotkey for displaying the calendar window.
- First day of the week: First day to display in each week.
- First month dislayed: First month displayed in the calendar.
- Colors boxes: Here you can select the different colors used for displaying the calendar.
Note that all color settings except the background don't have effect in Windows Vista if you have the Aero theme selected, due to Aero's enhanced calendar view.
- Restore default colors: Restores the default colors of the calendar as defined in the desktop color settings.
