How to build an entire file from two damaged files
If you have made two identical archive copies of a file and both of them are damaged, then you can try to build an entire file from them.

To do this:

  1. Copy the first damaged file onto the hard disk. Do not wait for the Durable Copy read ceiling amount of data between damaged sectors. It is enough to let the program carry out only one pass on the damaged file. It is possible to discontinue the subsequent passes.
  2. Now copy the second copy over the first one by selecting item menu "Replace unreadable sectors".  Show.  The program will only copy the sectors that have not been read on a previous occasion.

Attention! If you make two or more file backup copies, then use of DurableCopy will help to increase their readability by 50 times or more!

The recommendation from Microsoft for protection against data loss:
Develop the scenario of data recovery in advance. Prepare all necessary tools in advance.
Make a real test of the scenario of data recovery in a test area before the data loss crash.
