Warnings
PPF-O-Matic will directly patch your disc image, it won't do a backup. Be carefull! If the disc image isn't the right one, two WARNING messages can or will pop up:
1st. Warning:
"The size of the image file does not match the size of the image file the patch was created with!"
"Continue?"
What is wrong: It seems that you dont have the right disc image. It is very likely that the disc image will be corrupted (and the game won't work after burning). If this warning will show up, you have a 50:50 chance that it will work afterwards.. Different CDR utility versions may add some more bytes to the disc image so this warning is not to be taken toooo seriously!
2nd. Warning:
"The image will probably not work once recorded, because the validation of the patch with the image failed!"
"Continue?"
If you see this warning you have a serious problem! The disc image that you want to patch was NOT identified to be the right disc image for the PPF-Patch you are using! It's very very likely that you will burn a nice coaster if you continue! Get the right version of the game you are trying to patch. Sometimes a RENTAL/STORE/BETA version can cause this problem! You should NOT continue to patch this disc image!
Other Warnings:
If there are occuring file access errors while patching, f.e. like the disc image is locked or in use, you will be informed and patching will not start.
Format Description
PPF v1.0 patches don't support any disc image verification.
PPF v2.0 patches are supporting disc image and filesize checking.
PPF v3.0 patches can support disc image checking.
PPF v4.0 patches reduce size massively.
That means that with PPF v2.0, v3.0 and v4.0 patches, images will be verified before patching.
