Refresh - Snow Leopard by The Iconfactory
I sat down to create some new Refresh-series folders to recognise the release of Apple's new iteration of OS X - Snow leopard! I found myself a bit mystified on how to handle it. My original thought was naturally to use leopard fur in some capacity, but I found that most of the ideas I tested seemed awkward. I was looking for "clean and classy", and a desktop covered in leopard print can end up looking a bit... tacky. In any event, it was definitely too visually busy to fit in with the Refresh aesthetic.
What I ended up doing was simply cueing off the colours in Apple's Snow Leopard promotional materials - I picked out a nice pale creme, mixed with light greys and whites. I think the clarity makes for a crisp look on the desktop, and works well with many of the desktops included in the new system.
I hope you like this addition to the refresh folder series. Even if you haven't bought Snow Leopard yet, you can use these to give your desktop icons a free upgrade!
