Crystal Reports for Eclipse Designer Guide

To create a chart

  1. On the Palette, click Chart, and then place the chart in the report header or footer, or in a group header or footer.
  2. In the "Properties" view, in the Chart type list, select a chart type.
  3. On the chart, place the database fields that you want to use as conditions in the Data Fields and Category fields.
Each chart type and chart subtype has different required fields. For information on which fields are required for each chart type and subtype, see Chart group types.
    Note:
    • If there is a red outline around a field, then a value must be placed there. When you move the pointer over the field, you will see a note specifying how many parameters are required for the field.
    • When you add a value to either the Category or the Series field, the red outline may disappear from both fields.
  4. Click any of the title text areas to add or change a title for the fields or for the chart.

Note: When your chart is inserted, it may cover a portion of the report. Move and resize the chart so that it fits properly within the report.
