Crystal Reports for Eclipse Designer Guide

To incorporate the parameter into the selection

  1. On the Crystal Reports menu, click Record Filter.
  2. In the Record Filter dialog box, click Add Filter.
  3. Choose the database field that you want to filter on.
    You should choose the field that your parameter matches. For example, if you created a parameter for country, you should choose the country field from your database.
  4. Ensure Equal to is selected in the middle drop-down list.
  5. Choose the parameter from the final drop-down list.
    For example, choose {?Country}.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click the Preview tab.
    The Please Provide Information dialog box appears.
  8. Select the value to base the report on.
  9. Click Finish.
    The report appears with only the information for the value that you selected.
With parameter fields, you can create a single report that can be customized quickly to meet a variety of needs.
