To create a report title using parameter fields

  1. In the "Field Explorer"view, right-click Parameters, and then click New.
  2. Enter a name for the parameter, and then click Enter.
  3. In the "Properties" view, go to the Type properties, and choose String from the list.
  4. Type in any prompting text you wish in the Prompting text field.
  5. In the Value area, click List of Values, and then click the button at the end of the field.
    The Pick List dialog box appears.
  6. Enter the strings that you want to use as report titles.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Place the parameter field in the Page Header section of the report to have the title appear on every page, or in the Report Header section if you want the title to appear on only the first page of the report.
Now, when you refresh the data, the program will prompt you for a report title. If you wish, you can change the title each time you run the report.
