Crystal Reports for Eclipse Designer Guide

To link a subreport to the data in the primary report

  1. Select a subreport in your primary report, and go to the "Properties" view.
  2. In the Subreport area, click the Subreport Links property.
  3. Click the button at the end of the Value field.
The Subreport Links dialog box appears.
  4. Click New, and select the field you want to use as a link field in the primary (containing) report from the Main Fields list.
Crystal Reports tries to make a match between the field you chose and a field in the subreport.
  5. To change the subreport field that the program chose, click that field in the Subreport Field list and choose a different field.
The two fields are added as a link field.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional link, as desired.
  7. Click OK.
When you run the report, the program will coordinate the data in the primary report with the data in the subreport.
