Crystal Reports for Eclipse Developer Guide
To test a custom page in Eclipse
This example shows how to test a plug-in project that contains a custom report designer page by launching it in an Eclipse application.
In the
Project Explorer
, expand
META-INF
.
Right-click
MANIFEST.MF
, and point to
Open With
>
Plug-in Manifest Editor
.
The Plug-in Manifest Editor displays the plug-in project settings.
Click the
Overview
tab.
In the
Testing
area, click
Launch an Eclipse application
Eclipse launches a second copy of Eclipse that uses your wizard plug-in.
In the second copy of Eclipse, click
File
>
New
>
Other
.
The
"New"
wizard appears.
Expand
Crystal Reports
, select
Blank Report
, and click
Next
.
Type the name of a report in the
File name
field, and click
Finish
.
For example, type
MyReport.rpt
.
A report is displayed in the report editor.
Click the tab for the custom page.
For example, click
My Custom Page
.
The custom page view is displayed in the editor.
Test your custom page.
For example:
a.
Add a parameter to the report.
The parameter is displayed in the parameter list.
b.
Select a parameter, and press
Delete parameter field
.
The parameter is deleted from the parameter list and from the report.
