Crystal Reports for Eclipse Designer Guide

To create a parameter that allows custom values

  1. In the "Field Explorer" view, right-click Parameters, and then click New.
  2. Enter a name for the parameter, and then click Enter.
  3. In the "Properties" view, select the appropriate Type from the list, and enter prompting text.
  4. Set Allow Custom Values to True.

Note: This property is set to True automatically unless you have specified a list of values. When you specify a list of values, you can choose to disallow customs values by setting the property to False.
Now, when you refresh the data on the Preview tab, you can specify parameter values in addition to those displayed in the dialog box.
