Jump: Space
Sprint: Left Shift
In Sovereign you are equipped with three different types of arrows, Stick, Wood, and Metal. Use the number keys along the top of your keyboard, 1, 2, 3 to switch between available arrows. Stick arrows have the shortest range and deal the least amount of damage while Metal arrows have the longest range and deal the most damage, Wooden arrows round out the trio in the mid-range. Fire arrows by holding down the fire button (Default: Left Mouse) and then depressing the button once you've reached your desired amount of force, the longer you pull back on the bow the more forceful the arrow's release. Collect spent arrows by centering them on the screen and pressing the interact key (Default: Right Mouse). An animal will take more damage when hit in certain areas, for instance an arrow to the chest will deal more damage than an arrow to the leg.
You can enhance the effectiveness of your arrows with poison or fire. Create jars and use them to store poison, collected from female reemen, or oil. Once you have a jar containing either enhancement use the enhancement toggle key (Default : Tab) to switch between enhancements. If you're using oil to light your arrows you will also need 1 flint per arrow.
Your nutrition meter is located on the right side of your heads up display, once this meter empties the game ends and you will reincarnate in Deep Tree village. To refill your hunger meter collect food from animal carcasses and press eat key (Default: F).
Once you've dispatched of an animal approach the carcass and center it on your screen, when you see the “Examine” indicator at the top center of the screen click the interact key to begin stripping the carcass of needed items. You will also find houses or piles of wood which may have items contained within, collect these items in the same manner you would from an animal carcass.
