Subsync Subtitles Synchronizer User's Guide

This application supports the two most popular subtitle file formats, the .srt and the .sub format, and you can synchronize between both pairs of file-types.

Open the input (non-synchronized) subtitles file (File->Open... or drag & drop from the file explorer). There's a preview area where the subtitles are displayed. First, search at the beginning of the file for a "good" phrase that would be easy to find spoken inside the movie. Right click and set it as the starting subtitle.

Now preview the movie/video you want to synchronize the subtitles with and try finding the starting phrase spoken. Set its actual timing in the "starting subtitle observed timestamp" area.

Do the same for a subtitle near the end of the video/movie and set its actual timing in the "ending subtitle observed timestamp" area.

To save the synchronized subtitles file select File->Save synchronization as... and enter the desired filename of the synchronized subtitles. You can choose to save the synchronized subtitles in .srt or .sub format.

In case of the .sub output format you must be aware of the framerate of your movie file and set its value in the Synchronization Settings (File->Synchronization settings...) section. To avoid this, you can always choose the .srt as output format which is supported by all players.
