INTRODUCTION
================================================================
TaskBarilla is a new streamlined application that can be used to
effectively organize files, bookmarks and running applications.

TaskBarilla provides the functions of a task manager, a file
manager, a bookmark manager and a program launcher. It can be
thought of as an alternative to My Computer/Explorer, the Windows
StartMenu, web browser bookmarks, the Windows Taskbar, the Windows
task manager and the Windows desktop.

It does not enhance or interfere with the existing Windows operating
system interface. TaskBarilla is a completely separate application.

   INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
================================================================
 - TaskBarilla will run on any Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP
   system. It has not been tested on Windows Vista.

 - It is required that the file MSCOMCTL.OCX file be
   installed and available in the Windows system directory(For
   Win85/98/ME: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\, for NT/2000 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\, for
   XP: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\). This file is typically already
   available on most systems or can be downloaded from
   http://support.microsoft.com if needed.

 - The initial run of the program will check for the existence of
   the *.OCX file and provide a warning if it cannot be found.

   INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
================================================================
 - Uncompress TB.zip which should contained two files:
   TaskBarilla.exe and this file, TB-ReadMe.txt.

 - TaskBarilla does not use an install program.

 - Double click on the TaskBarilla.exe icon to start the application.

 - On the initial start up, you will be presented with the
   system requirements and license agreement.

 - Also on the intial start up, a "TaskBarilla" directory will be
   created if one does not exist already in the "Application Data"
   directory. The TaskBarilla directory is where configuration
   information(described below) will be stored.

   HOW TO GET SUPPORT
================================================================
 - First check the TaskBarilla InfoBar at the bottom of the interface
   when you encounter a problem to make sure the interface isn't
   trying to tell you something.

 - Second, check the integrated help under '...More Options' to see if
   the problem is a 'Known Issue & Limitation' or can otherwise
   be explained.

 - If the application won't even install or start, check below
   in this README to see if the issue is documented.

 - Lastly, if the integrated help does not help to resolve the
   issue, refer to the web based support forum available at:
   http://www.taskbarilla.com/forum

================================================================
   WHERE DOES THE PROGRAM STORE CONFIGURATION INFORMATION?
================================================================
 - TaskBarilla does not add information to the registry.

 - On the intial start up, a TaskBarilla directory will be
   created if one does not exist already in the "Application Data"
   directory.

 - The default location for the TaskBarilla directory is not user
   configurable. There is no option to specify a different
   directory location.

 - TaskBarilla creates 4 small binary files(_TBbuttons.dat,
   _TBboxes.dat, _TBsettings.dat, _TB.htm) and 2 small text
   files(_TBcopyto.dat, _TBcommands.dat) in the TaskBarilla
   directory to store configuration information. These 4
   files combined generally use about 300KB of disk storage.

 - During regular use, TaskBarilla will create temporary files
   and cache web site icons in the TaskBarilla directory as
   well. These files generally consume about 1MB of space.

================================================================
   ACCESSING THE INTERNET
================================================================
 - TaskBarilla will not access the internet unless you tell
   it to refresh a web site button nickname/icon or you click an
   online help link.

================================================================
   SPYWARE, ADWARE ETC.
================================================================
 - TaskBarilla does not contain any kind of SpyWare or AdWare.

================================================================
   LICENSE

   implied warranty. In no event will the author be held liable

================================================================
   DE-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
================================================================
 - Delete the TaskBarilla.exe icon and the "TaskBarilla" directory
   if it does not contain any user created files.

 - The "TaskBarilla" directory is typically located in the
   "C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\"
   directory and will contain 6 "_TB" files and a "cache" directory.

 - Since TaskBarilla does not install any libraries or use the
   Windows registry, NO FURTHER ACTION is required once the files
   and folder mentioned are deleted.
