Starting a TCP server


1. Optionally choose the network interface that the TCP Server will listen for TCP connections. Upon the startup of TCP Server tomcat, the "NIC" list will have a list of detected network interfaces.



2. Once a network interface is detected, the first IP Address assigned to the NIC will be populated in the "IP Address" filed. You can also enter an IP Address manually if needed.



Note:

If the NIC has more then one IP Address assigned, the automatic detection will choose the first available IP. In this scenario enter the IP Address manually.



3. Enter the listening TCP port number in the "Port" field.


4. Choose the file size the captured packets are to be written to. While capturing packets, when the file size is reached a new file will be created. The file name sequence number will increase incrementally.


5. Choose the destination path the captured packets are to be written to.


6. Click on Start
