After starting TempTracker for the first time, choose "Options | Data acquisition..." from the main menu and choose a data source. Click the "Help" button in the dialog box for more information.

If you choose to download the data from the Internet, it will take a few seconds even on a high-speed connection to obtain the necessary data files. If you have dialup, it will take several minutes.

Choose "File | Open..." from the main menu and pick one of the supplied TempTracker maps.

The source of data is not under the control of TempTracker -- data may become unavailable at any time.

To report a problem, please include the version of TempTracker (choose "Help | About..." from the main menu to view the version), the operating system you are using, the speed of your computer, and its amount of memory, plus a description of how to repeat the problem.

NOTES ABOUT THE TEST-DRIVE VERSION:

Only 4 windows may be open simultaneously.

Though data is downloaded and ingested, just as in the regular versions of TempTracker, the data is randomized as soon as it is ingested. Temperatures are randomly determined to be within 25 degrees of the actual temperature. Other conditions are similarly calculated.

The test-drive version is fully functional in all respects, but the data displayed will almost certainly be different from the actual conditions (though there is a chance that they will be the same). In many cases, the displayed conditions will be wildly different from reality.

If you want to examine the actual conditions, you will have to look in the "Downloaded Data" folder.
