		Poetry Lab v1.0

welcome and thank you for downloading Poetry Lab, a direct intellectual offspring of P.A.N. (the Poetry ANalyzer).
what follows is a brief introduction in the making and use of Poetry Lab.

============
Introduction
============

Poetry Lab was more of an accident than an intent as it was originally intended to be a personal development tool for a poetry analyzer program I had previously created (http://pan.sourceforge.net/)
As it turned out however, Poetry Lab had far more potential than I had planed. With properly worded phrases, randomly generated texts seemed to have a rather curiously poetic flow to them.
It is my hope that this program may find itself in the hands of those who appreciate beauty in the unintentional, a curious cohesion between randomness, and intent. Enjoy!

===========
Starting Up
===========

Just like Poetry ANalyzer, the only requirement for running Poetry Lab is you have Java fully updated.
Next is to unzip your copy of Poetry Lab, and double click 'poetryLab.jar'.

=================
Poetry Lab Layout
=================

  Large text box on Left (text display box) - where your Snip-Its or text creations will be shown.
Check Box, Slider on Right (custom filters) - where you specify which sort of text you would like to create.
 FILE > here you may either select 'Create Text' or 'Exit'.
TOOLS > here you are able to tweak your Snip-Its.
 HELP > can further explain 'How To Use', and display my contact information.

==================
Snip-It Break Down
==================

There are two kind of Snip-Its in Poetry Lab:
1. Custom, and
2. Default.

Custom Snip-Its: is a single text file that holds any and all possible phrases you may deem worthy of Poetry Lab.
Default Snip-Its: holds Snip-Its in separate text files according to the emotion in which they are associated.
*IMPORTANT*
Deliriously happy phrases belong in 'estacy.txt', while sorrowful phrases belong in 'sorrow.txt'.

With that key difference in mind, you should have no trouble at all tweaking and adding to the list of Snip-Its, ENJOY!

=========================
What Are You Waiting For?
=========================

That's pretty much all there is to it, if you have any questions, comments or texts you created and would like to share, then please do so in the forums at: http://pan.sourceforge.net/

Good Luck, Have Fun,
and ENJOY!
