All about training modes.

Each time a card is presented it is in one of four different training modes.

Here's a quick rundown of the modes available:

If you don't want to learn a card in one of those modes, simply switch it off for that card by clicking the button in the top-right corner of the card view during training. If you're sure you'll never be interested in that type of training (for example, if you want to concentrate on Reading but don't care much about Dictation), go to the Settings screen and click the dropdown box marked "New cards use...". Switch off a mode here and it will be disabled on all new cards downloaded to the program. Before each card is presented, a mode is chosen based on the modes enabled for that card, and starting with modes you haven't trained already.

Once you've been right about a card enough times - in the modes that you want to learn for it - it will be considered "learned" and will sleep for a while. As described on the previous page, the cards sleep for longer periods each time you learn them and eventually stop appearing altogether.

Important!

Try to update your cards (see the main menu) at least once a week. This will ensure that sleeping cards are woken at the correct times and that you're always able to pick up new cards from the website.
